Rachel Lyne was forced to move 350miles to a new home to escape a stream of men knocking on her door expecting sex

A cheating plumber and his ex-wife set up hundreds of fake online profiles claiming his ex-lover was a prostitute.

Rachel Lyne, 48, suffered a seven-year hate campaign as a result of her four-week fling with Richard Holman, a court has heard.

She was even forced to move 350miles from her home to start a new life to escape the steady stream of men knocking on her door expecting sex.

Richard, 45, and Amanda Holman, who are now divorced, have been jailed after being found guilty of harassment.

The court heard how Rachel's parents and neighbours received letters alleging she was a prostitute, a drug dealer and a benefit cheat and on one occasion her pet dog went missing, only to be found 400 miles away.

Rachel later discovered hundreds of fake online dating and sex profiles had been set up in her name.

She said the couple had "destroyed every little aspect of my life."

"It's gone on for seven years of my life," she said,

"I had to move from one end of the country to another. It destroyed my relationship with my parents.
