Original Story:

McCRACKEN Co, Ky - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man after he used his job as a plumber to scout houses and rob them.

Over the past several weeks, various home burglaries had been reported throughout the area. The most recent to be reported was Tuesday at 8155 New Liberty Church Road.

Four firearms were stolen from the home after forced entry.

A neighbor had seen an older model blue Chevy Camaro in the area during the time of the burglary that seemed out of place and suspicious.

Ballard County Sheriff's Department was made aware of the burglary. Late afternoon Wednesday, Ballard County Sheriff's Department located a blue older model Chevy Camaro parked at an apartment in the Barlow community.

Deputies contacted Michael V. Mitchell of Barlow, searched his apartment and vehicle and found multiple pieces of evidence and stolen property that were identified as the items stolen from the multiple different break ins.
