This week is Underdog Week at SB Nation, but as you can tell by the 16 banners the Los Angeles Lakers have raised to the Staples Center rafters, this is not exactly a team whose history is filled with underdog stories (unless you stretch a bit).

But you know what this team is filled with? Literal dogs, and I dont just mean Alex Caruso and Avery Bradley playing defense. No, we mean actual literal dogs, as in mans best friend. And after doing so cursory research on Google and various social media platforms, we think weve compiled a fairly comprehensive of the good boys of the Lakers. This order is not a ranking, either, we should note. All of these dogs get a 14/10 from us.

Now, on to the list.

When LeBron joined the Lakers, his family got a french bulldog puppy named Indigo-Sky. They have posted plenty of photos of the adorable dog since then, but Indigo-Sky is perhaps most famous for the time James wife, Savannah, posted a video (jokingly) offering to give the dog away on Instagram:

Look, weve all been there with a puppy. NBA families, theyre just like us!

Indigo-Sky was also featured on a recent Instagram Live that LeBron did with fans:

Seems like a very good dog (who hopefully has stopped pooping in the house).

Davis has a Rottweiler names Zeus, and the photos of them going through dog training together are adorable:

Now that is a happy-looking dog. Hopefully Zeus is adjusting well to life in L.A. (and thankfully cant read that his best friend misspelled his name in that second Instagram hashtag).

And this isnt a dog, but Davis at one point had a pet marmoset and a handler to carry it around for him:

Sadly, this little guy is unlikely to be showing up in any Lakers postgame locker rooms anytime soon, as it is now living with one of Davis former teammates aunts (yes, really).

Its not a stretch to say that Danny Green and his two Pomeranian Huskies, Gizmo and Nuke, could literally be stock photo models:

Like we dont want to be dramatic but we would die for this dog. Look at the second photo!

According to a podcast Green did last February, these two very good boys did not exactly love the cold in Toronto even if they apparently did enjoy eating the snow, which we now absolutely need video of so it also might not be a stretch to say that these two dogs may have ultimately led Green to Los Angeles (a city he talks about the merits of living in, while playing for the Raptors, on that same podcast).

And in addition to Gizmo and Nuke, Green has also been spotted helping out at animal shelters in the past, so we think we can all agree that he seems like the biggest Dog Guy on the team:

Kuz is the newest addition to the ranks of Lakers with dogs, as he recently adopted a Husky puppy named Snoh after the NBA season shut down. She is, as all puppies are, precious:

In addition to being a great runner with nearly endless energy as Kuzma outlines in the above video Snoh is also a natural star that fits right into Kuzmas infinite Instagram posts:

So we are not really certain just how many dogs Dwight Howard has, and when considering this is a man who also apparently owns at least 25 snakes and reportedly has a $70,000 fish and snake tank, perhaps thats not surprising. But he did post a photo of him with what appears to be two Pitbulls on Twitter in 2017:

More recently, Howard spoke about his dog Diablo, who in a very Dwight Howard anecdote spent most of a call with reporters barking, and who he uses to judge the character of new people he meets:

The story of JaVale McGees dogs is, like the man himself, complicated. In 2014 on his moms reality show yes, thats a real thing it was revealed that JaVale was keeping his two dogs (apparently Great Danes) in an almost obscenely nice dog hotel. But theyre big dogs, and they look happy, so Im gonna say this was a worthwhile expense:

It is not super clear if he still has those dogs, but he has also posted multiple times about his daughter and this dog (possibly a Maltese):

JaVale also has (had?) a hairless sphynx cat who he buys massages for and says is pretty lit for a cat, which based on the cats Instagram, seems to be pretty accurate!

One of the Lakers latest additions, Markieff Morris, has a bulldog named King. When he went missing in 2014, Morris put up posters and launched a hashtag campaign to find him:

Thankfully, this story has a happy ending, as someone found Morris dog and returned it to him, leading to the fantastic Reddit headline My friends mom found a lost dog in their neighborhood. Turns out it belonged to Markieff Morris and this even better photo:

As one Reddit user pointed out, its a real shame this dogs name isnt Barkieff Morris, but alas, hes still a very good and curious boy that likes exploring Phoenix neighborhoods.

While she may not play for the Lakers, Jeanie Buss has to be included here, as she might be one of the biggest dog lovers in not just Los Angeles, but the entire United States. Her Shih Tzu, Delores, is a mainstay on Buss Instagram, constantly dressed in cute little Lakers gear:

This only kind of counts, because while I have no idea if Antetokounmpo or Cacok actually own dogs (probably unlikely given that G League players usually live in residential hotels provided by the team), so this only kind of counts, but we do have amazing video of them and their South Bay Lakers teammates playing with rescue dogs for a promotion, and who doesnt want to watch that?

Jamal Adams and the New York Jets have reached an impasse in contract negotiations. That doesnt mean Jamal is leaving anytime soon.

Round and round the rumor mill goes. Yet again, the New York Jets and star safety Jamal Adams find themselves at the center of the national medias attention. This comes after NFL insider Gary Myersreported that the Jets and the face of their franchise are at an impasse in contract negotiations.

This isnt the first time a major New York sports star has ended up in a contract dispute or trade rumors. Every major New York star has gone through this at some point.

David Wright was on the verge of leaving the New York Mets in free agency at one point. The New York Yankees were going to let Derek Jeter walk and shift Alex Rodriguez to shortstop. Carmelo Anthony was going to leave the New York Knicks for the Chicago Bulls.

The scenario that most closely mirrors Adams situation is that of New York Jets legend Darelle Revis. The future Hall of Fame cornerback was vocal with the media about his contract situations. He held out and even demanded a trade at one point according to some reports. Revis eventually signed a long-term contract with the Jets.

This is New York, the land of the media circus. There is no negotiation with a star player that doesnt face the scrutiny of the media. Jamal Adams was never going to be any different.

After Myers initial report, a flood of reports from New York Jets beat writers came after. They all have a similar tone. The Jets have no issue making him the highest-paid safety in the league, its about when they want to extend him.

Jamal Adams wants his money now. He believes after making back-to-back All-Pro teams hes earned that money and he has a point. Adams is clearly the best safety in football and hes getting paid just over $3 million in 2019. That doesnt make sense from a value standpoint for him.

The issue for him is that the Jets hold all the cards. They have Adams under contract for two more seasons and have the right to use the franchise tag to control him for a third. They have no reason to rush into an extension and remove the last year where Jamals value is among the best in the league.

Few teams extend any players after just their third year. Only 16 of the last 223 first-round picks have been extended prior to their fourth season. Among those who havent, Khalil Mack and Aaron Donald. If the two best defensive players in football couldnt get an extension that soon why should Adams?

The first thought that comes to mind when an impasse comes about is a holdout. Revis held out to great effect and LeVeon Bell held out for an entire season. Adams wont get that opportunity.

The newest CBA makes it incredibly difficult for players to hold out. While most of the new additions to the CBA only affect those on veteran contracts, there is one rule that makes it nearly impossible for Adams to miss time. The fines for missing practices are now mandatory and significantly higher.

The previous fine for missing a day of training camp was $40,000. Teams could wipe that away once the player reported under the old CBA, thats not the case anymore. Players will now be forced to pay that money in fines according to the new rules.

The actual number for fines was never revealed, so lets use $60,000 as a baseline. If Adams holds out for just two weeks hell lose $840,000. Thats nearly a third of Adams contract value.

Considering training camp lasts about two months, Adams could lose nearly his entire salary if he chooses not to attend training camp. That just doesnt seem likely.

Jamal Adams cant hold out and the Jets have no reason to extend him this season. That leaves one option for Adams, demand a trade. The only way hes getting paid now is if someone else does it.

Some reporters are already gearing up for a potential trade. Myers, who broke the story, is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys are in play as theyve confirmed that the Jets are looking for a first-round pick and a third-round pick in exchange. Michael Irvin of NFL Network has heard the same.

Theres a trend here. Gary Myers is a former Cowboys beat reporter and Irvin used to play for the Cowboys. Its very possible that theyre getting their info from the Cowboys side and not the Jets and Jamal Adams.

That seems like a likely conclusion given that every Jets beat reporter whos written on the subject has an opposite take. Richi Cimini of ESPN first reported that the Jets and Adams had talked about a potential trade. Even his report says that the talks didnt go far and a trade is unlikely.

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY and Connor Hughes of The Athletic take it a step further. Both say the Jets have absolutely no intention of trading Adams. Vacchianos sources say the team hasnt taken any trade calls on Adams since the 2019 trade deadline. Hughes sources said a trade isnt likely to happen, but even if it did, the Jets asking price would start at a first-round pick and two second-round picks. Thats a far cry from the first and third that Myers and Irvin are reporting.

Its hard to parse whats real and whats not out of this, but general manager Joe Douglas has been firm on this question whenever asked. He wants Jamal Adams to be a Jet for life. Thats been his stance since he walked through the door. Things could change in the future, but until they do, thats likely going to be the final word.

If Adams wont get a new deal, cant hold out, and wont get traded, what is he to do? Theres nothing he can do except try to create leverage where there is none. Thats why there are media reports about how unhappy he is.

If he can get the media and the fans on his side, then he can try to pressure the Jets into overplaying their hand. Thats not likely to work on Joe Douglas, but its the only move Adams has left.

This isnt going to be the last time this contract issue comes up. Itll play out through the rest of the 2020 offseason and into the regular season, but eventually the Jets will get a deal done with Adams.

This was never about the money. Reports from nearly every source say the Jets have no problem making Adams the leagues highest-paid safety. This is about timing and why the Jets have no reason to extend Jamal Adams before the season starts.

Come this time a year from now the most likely scenario is Jamal Adams has a brand new long-term contract with the Jets. The only one who can change that is Joe Douglas. He has all the leverage here, and theres nothing Adams can do about it.

About 800 employees based at Rich Products Corp.'s Niagara Street headquarters received a company email Wednesday meant to allay fears and uncertainty.

Office workers at the Buffalo-based food products company would continue to work from home through at least Labor Day regardless of whether the state clears offices to reopen as soon as June 1.

The company, which has invested heavily in technology, operated remotely during the past two months "without hardly missing a beat," said spokesman Dwight Gram.

Executives want to take their time.

"We just dont see any reason to rush our folks back into the office," Gram said. "Taking any undue risk at this point is simply not prudent."

They're not alone. Last Friday, Independent Health Association set the same September timeframe, while M&T Bank Corp. and law firm Hodgson Russ LLP are aiming for mid-June at the earliest. Geico spokesman Kevin Walker said the insurer doesn't plan to resume office operations for its 3,000 Amherst employees "for at least several more months."

Others are taking it one step at a time, setting no date but preferring to keep workers out of the office, while taking advantage of the surprising success many have seen with a remote workforce.

"Weve been very successful, with no business interruption. Weve been able to service our customers and members," said Independent Health Chief Risk Officer Anne O'Neill. "If theres no business need, why would we reverse that, given the concern for our employees' health and safety and the community responsibility."

It's a stark contrast from other industries and one that draws a sharp line between workers who can connect via technology and those who must be on site to work.

Many construction and manufacturing sites reopened this week in Western New York, after weeks of demanding that restrictions be loosened. Retail stores are also impatient to get back to customers.

But some workers in commercial offices say they are in no hurry to rush back to their desks, cubicles and conference rooms, even if the state gives them clearance to do so in the next two weeks as part of the state's second phase of reopening.

From the region's banking and financial services companies to law firms, architects and other professionals, office leaders say they want to proceed cautiously to give them more time to implement changes.

They also hope that conditions will improve.

"We want to make sure that we get it right when we return to the office," said M&T spokesman C. Michael Zabel.

Many of the workers have been out of the office since mid-March even before Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo ordered most offices to close to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"Weve seen incredible transformation across our company as these last few months have unfolded," Gram said.

Several employers say they plan to bring workers back in phases. That will allow them to test new protocols and physical changes with a small number of people.

"Were going to make sure we come back in a smart way," said Matt Dates, business practice leader for Buffalo at CannonDesign, one of the region's largest architectural and design firms, with 1,000 employees in 19 offices nationwide, including 180 at its Buffalo headquarters.

Executives say they recognize that many employees may be reluctant to return too soon, either because of their own fears or because they may have loved ones who are at higher risk with Covid-19. There are also childcare or elder-care needs, since schools, summer camps and adult activities have been scaled back.

"Our ability to work remotely is allowing us to manage those special circumstances very effectively," said Rick Kennedy, managing partner, president and CEO of Hodgson Russ. "So were not rushing people back into the office simply because the government says we can reopen."

Tim Hurley, vice president of sales for Millington Lockwood, an office interiors and furniture company in Cheektowaga, said his company is evaluating which jobs require more office time and which ones don't.

"There's some people here that really could work remotely and be just as effective in their job," Hurley said.

Employers are also planning for new policies around safety, as well as physical changes to ensure more social distancing. They expect a combination of health screenings, masks, reconfigured seating, new plexiglass or other barriers, changes to traffic flow and reduced capacity.

"An open office is great for communication, but terrible for a pandemic. How do you mix those two?" Dates said. "Its a challenging situation."

How much is done, they say, depends on how soon the return occurs. A blend of on-site and remote working is also likely to continue.

"It does give us time to be able to really think through those plans in detail over this summer," O'Neill said. "Thats another benefit of having a longer-term plan to stay at work from home, so that you can track and monitor the necessity of all those restrictions."

Several companies, however, said workers won't return to what was in place before.

"The reality is we cant think about going back in the traditional sense," Gram said.

Banks are some of the biggest users of office space in the region, not even counting their branches. Some indicated they are in no rush to bring their employees back.

About 90% of M&T Bank's employees are working from home, and the bank will maintain that policy through at least mid-June, said Julia Berchou, an M&T spokeswoman.

KeyBank has started planning for its workers to return. For now, only some Key employees are reporting to offices as needed for essential operations, but the bank is trying to limit that as much as possible, said Matt Pitts, a Key spokesman.

"Once we are cleared to return to our worksites, all of our subsequent decisions will be made with the health and safety of teammates and clients being our main focus," Pitts said.

Citi's Getzville financial services operation has operated throughout the pandemic with about 98% of its employees working from home. Citi hasn't set a date for when the employees will return, but said it will follow guidance provided by the county.

At Hodgson, which is targeting a June 8 reopening for its Albany, Buffalo and Saratoga Springs offices, the firm is "fairly far along in preparing plans," Kennedy said. As much as possible, he said, the firm will keep its lawyers and support staff working from home, "unless it's necessary for them to return."

It is also planning physical changes, particularly at its Guaranty Building headquarters which the firm owns. Besides using partitions and personal protective equipment, he said, the company is considering touchless faucets, enhanced air quality control systems and new door handles. They are also evaluating how to manage traffic and gatherings, such as minimizing the number of people in an elevator or stairwell at one time, or how many people use the bathrooms at the same time.

At Strategic Financial Solutions in Amherst, where 500 employees have been working remotely since March, the company will welcome back employees who want to return first, said Gary Foodim, chief marketing officer.

Strategic intends to learn from their experiences and then open to more workers. The layout will change, too. Cubicles will be further apart and employees won't sit across from each other.

"We were one of the first ones to go totally remote," Foodim said, "and we wont be the first ones to be back in the office."

You have seen a number of pictures in this photo gallery showing scenes of people congregating on a patio, perhaps for a meal or for a party. In some of those pictures, the patios have been accessorized in a sophisticated fashion, culminating in examples of glitzy outdoor kitchens and the like.

With the present photo, we dial all of that back for a moment, doing a 180. Instead ofa social scene enhanced by fancy gadgets, we have a patio with a simple bench. From this bench, we look out over tranquil flower beds.

What a perfect place to relax and collect your thoughts! This isa patio designed with seclusion in mind. It is part of a meditation garden, where the eye falls upon plants such as Russian sage shrubs. This is a patio not for parties but for unwinding after a hard day at work.

Q. Ive got a problem I need you to solve. Each time it rains, a puddle develops on the outer edge of my circular patio. Its older concrete, and it appears the puddle is related to a crack thats above a low retaining wall the patio rests on. Can I just fill in where the puddle is, and all will be well? I am worried about the appearance of the patch. How might I disguise my attempt to stop the ponding water? I only want to fix this one time. What are my options? Amy P., Warrenton, Virgina

A. I see puddles frequently and even have the issue here at my own home where there are depressions in my asphalt driveway and where my front sidewalk meets my drive. (I didnt build the house I currently live in.)

The patio repair is not that difficult to do, but you threw in a wildcard with respect to what the repair will look like. You want your patio to look nice and not like a hodgepodge of different colors and textures. Judging from the excellent photos you sent, I can tell you it would be next to impossible to install a patch that blended in perfectly. (You can see all the photos at askthebuilder.com.)

Theres another issue in play. You mentioned theres a crack in the patio thats directly related to the low curved retaining wall. And you also want to make the repair once. Failure is not an option.

When you add all these pieces of the puzzle together, you only come up with one repair option in my book. You need to do a thin perhaps just 2 inches concrete overlay.

Concrete overlays can come in a variety of flavors. You can do one as thin as a coat of stucco. This means the overlay is really just fine sand and cement. Its possible to get the overlay as thin as 1/8 inch, but 1/4 inch would be an easier project to manage for the DIYer inside you.

If you hired me to write the simple set of specifications for your job so you could get really accurate bids and be sure the job would be done right, heres what Id do.

Id want the concrete overlay to be 2 inches thick where it starts at the outer edge of the concrete patio where it passes over the low retaining wall. Before I start to do the work, Id cut a scrap piece of wood 2 inches thick and place it on the outer edge of the patio. Then Id rest a straightedge on the small piece of wood.

Id want to check to see how thick the overlay would be when it got back to the house making sure the patio had a consistent slope of 1/8-inch per foot. This way rainwater would drain off the patio with ease. You can get by with 1/16 inch per foot, but it takes an expert concrete finisher to maintain this slope and not create a new puddle in the middle of the new overlay. After all, you want this repair done once.

The concrete would have small pencil reinforcing rods in it. These rods are 3/8 inch in diameter. Id prime and paint them with a rust-resistant paint before the job would begin, as I dont want the rods to start to deteriorate in case you broadcast salt on the patio in the winter. These rods must have at least 1/2 inch of concrete under them when the overlay is poured.

Id make sure the spacing of the rods was 2 feet on center in both directions. Imagine creating a giant piece of graph paper but using the steel rods as the lines. This steel ensures the overlay will stay together as one piece and not have settlement issues where part of the slab drops lower than an adjacent piece as is happening over the retaining wall.

The size of the stones in this concrete overlay is critical. Id not want any stone to be larger than 3/8 inch in diameter. Some gravel pits sell a gravel called pea gravel where the stones are round and about the size of small grapes, none being larger than 3/8 inch in diameter. You also can use small crushed gravel that is a similar size.

Id specify a seven-bag mix, which makes the concrete stronger than the minimum 4,000 pounds per-square-inch strength recommended for outdoor slabs in a cold climate. My specifications also would state to be sure to pressure wash the existing concrete patio to get a great bond between the old and new concrete.

Id list as an option the application of a thin layer of cement paint to the old, damp concrete before the pour. The steel rods make this quite problematic. If you have enough helpers present, you can do this cement paint application with them brushing it on the damp concrete just before its covered with the new overlay concrete. You make cement paint mixing pure Portland cement with water until its the consistency of normal paint.

Keep in mind you can add color to the concrete. You can buy dry-shake pigments and make your new patio look like leather or even the sky.

ENDWELL (WBNG) -- Local musician Tyler Reed has changed the way he tours after the coronavirus pandemic forced him and his band, Second Suitor, to cancel upcoming concerts.

Back in January, Reed left his job at Broome-Tioga BOCES in pursuit of touring opportunities with the band in the Northeast and out west in California.

While the shows are no more, Reed's passion for music hasn't wavered or stopped.

"Music is the blood that pumps through my veins," he said. "Without it, I don't know what to do."

So what he decided to do was simple: drive-up concerts, which provide entertainment at a social distance.

"This is wonderful to be able to jump back into the world a little bit, and to bring some smiles to some people. I'm so excited people are happy about this idea," he said.

Reed has performed solo as he and the other band members are still trying to figure out the best way to rock on while also staying safe.

But for the concerts he has done, it's helped give him the energy he needs during a difficult time for many.

"As much as I love providing people with this outlet, this fun and this happiness, this is important to me and my mental health," Reed said. "Touring and playing music is all I am and all I do."

Family friends and "concert-goers" Michele and Chad Mapes enjoyed Reed's acoustic punk rock performance.

"It was fabulous," Michele said. "It kind of gives you a new perspective on different ways to do things you wouldn't ordinarily think of."

The tour not the traditional road trip of music, but one Reed thinks helps a little more during a time like this.

"This is kind of a way for me to tour still and promote...but also just promote happiness and being kind and making people smile."

Performing on patios: Musician brings concert to you - WBNG-TV

Cities around the world are having a look at it, but it will be a challenge.

Not long ago, everyone was excited to see Vilnius, Lithuania, take back the streets and give them to restaurants; now this is being looked at as a strategy for saving restaurants all over the world. In most cities, if the restaurants are open at all, there are limitations on capacity and distance between tables, regulations that make it difficult to earn a living. Outdoor patios have always provided a boost for restaurants, but now they are a lifeline.

As usual in North America, some cities are more aggressive and progressive than others. Kriston Capps writes in CityLab that Al Fresco Dining Is the Restaurant Industrys Best Hope. Some cities are already permitting it, and in others restaurant operators are demanding it.

Clarence Eckerson's latest epic for Streetsfilms looks at the situation in New York City, with host Henry Rinehart. Some quotes:

"My people and I are hurting. My city is hurting. Our leaders are not creating the safety and certainty that our lives and our jobs require."

"When the weather changes, after 100 days of solitude, we are all going to be desperate to be together, but to be safe. All we know now is that safety requires space. There is available public space in front of every door. Restaurant people are planners and doers. We do not sit alone in silence well. Give restaurants access to open streets and they will bring us all hope and sustenance."

Another city where the Mayor is usually dragged kicking and screaming to do anything progressive is Toronto, where the Mayor actually sounds positive about it on Global News.

I think that it could be a lifeline for some of the restaurants, especially in light of the fact that they will probably be required to have tables further apart inside and outside, said Toronto Mayor John Tory. He said hes asked Transportation Services to find possible locations where expanding patio spaces would be possible and is expecting a report "fairly soon... I think we can sweep away some of the red tape and get this done as a way of making the city friendly for everybody but also our friends in the restaurant business," Tory said.

Alas, the words "fairly soon" have a special meaning in Toronto, and patios are regulated really tightly; they take years to get approved, thanks to NIMBY opposition to people having fun after nine o'clock. Then there are the approvals to serve alcohol which come from another level of government. The patio season is starting now, and "fairly soon" probably means November.

There are other issues of climate besides November chills; there is also July heat. Kriston Capps writes:

Is al-fresco-everything the answer? It has its downsides. Especially in the Southern states that are rushing headlong to reopen, summer brings miserable heat and humidity. Diners who are forced to choose between increased air-conditioned virus exposure indoors or sweating outside may stay home or stick to takeout. Pandemic skeptics dont recognize any such tradeoff, of course. Customers in Georgia who see coronavirus exposure as a matter of personal choice are likely going to go with AC every time.

The fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has turned into a culture war is going to be a serious issue in many places.

I suspect another big issue will be washroom access. These are usually at the rear of restaurants, or in older, smaller restaurants, in the basement. Customers should also be washing their hands before they eat. Having them all traipsing through the inside of the restaurant may be problematic.

But ultimately, I suspect that the biggest issue is that we have run out of time. So many rules have to be waived, NIMBYs ignored, decisions made. In one Canadian city, the Mayor said he wouldn't close a lane unless every store owner on the street was consulted. A good parallel to this might be Vision Zero; everybody loves the idea, but implementation is another story.

They are all going to just run out the clock. It's a shame, because it could have been glorious.

Nearly a month on from Gov. Brian Kemps announcement that restaurants could begin reopening dining rooms with social distancing measures in places to prevent the spread of coronavirus, a steady stream of eateries continue to announce a resumption of dine-in service.

Heres a list of the recent announcements weve received from local restaurants. Be sure to check the social media or websites of your favorite restaurants to see when they plan to reopen their dining rooms.

Ponce City Market in Old Fourth Ward started reopening its food hall today, May 22, with Brezza Cucina, El Super Pan and W.H. Stiles Fish Camp. Additional food stalls and restaurants will open over the next two weeks.

The patio at Georges Bar & Restaurant in Virginia-Highland is open, as well as limited inside dining.

Yumbii Taco Shop on Peachtree Road has opened its dining room and patio.

Lazy Betty in Candler Park will reopen its dining room and patio beginning June 3.

Jai Hos Dutch Valley location has reopened its patio, and so has Nina & Rafi at StudioPlex Alley.

Homegrown Restaurants Doc Cheys in Grant Park and Morningside, Dragon Bowl at Emory Village and Osteria 832 in Virginia-Highland have all reopened their patios.

Biltong Bar at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta has opened its dining room.

Buckhead eateryMission + Market has reopened their dining room and patio for dine in guests.

Forza Storico on the Westside has reopened the patio to guests for outdoor dining.

Sugar Factory in Midtown has reopened for dine-in, curbside pickup and delivery.

Olive Bistro is Midtown and Vinings has opened its patio and is also offering takeout, delivery, and curbside.

Manuels Tavern in Poncey-Highland has created an outdoor seating area in its back parking lot for those ordering takeout.

UPPER PENINSULA, Mich. (WJMN) Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced earlier this week of the partial reopening of regions eight and six of Michigan, including the entire Upper Peninsula and the northern region of the Lower Peninsula.

Friday is finally here and people have been enjoying being outside of their homes.

Retail shops, restaurants, and bars are now able to open at half-capacity.

One shop, Local 3 stopped at was Babycakes Muffin Company in Marquette. They have a few seats inside for people to sit at as well as three tables outside for customers to eat their treats.

Babycakes has been open since last Wednesday for take out and contactless pick-up.

Its pretty busy. Today was definitely the busiest day. Its been a little bit slow and we totally understand that but now that people can sit outside and enjoy their coffee, its been really nice in here, said Hanna Johnson, a barista at Babycakes.

Babycakes is encouraging their customers to wear masks, all of their employees are wearing masks and gloves and continually sanitizing their building.

Its not just businesses welcoming guests again.

Some of the most popular places around Marquette County have been closed for weeks. With the warm temperatures and sunshine, people were out and about Friday enjoying the reopening of beaches and parks.

People like Lance Crevier from Peshtigo, WI said he is looking forward to enjoy some time outside.

Im very excited to get out and around and with no restrictions as far as public access goes.

One of the areas most popular city parks, Presque Isle, has been slowly reopening. First to car traffic only, but on Friday bikes, boards, and families were enjoying a place theyve been missing.

Eight-year-old Marquette resident Sophia Hatfield screamed FREEDOM! when her and her family finally got to enjoy some time spent at Blackrocks on Presque Isle.

Weve been stuck in our house and we still are but we get to come down here finally.
