Looking through the transfer window, Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic says he's open to everything.
Popovic's Wanderers and cross-town rivals Sydney FC are expected to be the big movers in January's transfer market as A-League clubs seek to bolster their squads.
For Popovic, his situation is critical - the champions of Asia are anchored at the bottom of the domestic ladder, winless from 11 games, and badly needing creative spark.
The Wanderers have already moved on Melbourne City's Nick Kalmar after injury to South African Kearyn Baccus, who was himself signed on an injury replacement contract last November.

And Popovic says there's more to come.
"We have always been open and we have brought in players," Popovic said after Thursday night's scoreless draw with fellow strugglers Central Coast.
"Last year we brought in Antony Golec and Daniel Mullen to help us. This year we brought in Nick Kalmar and Kearyn Baccus.
"So we're always looking. We're open to all possibilities in January."
Sydney FC are locked in a recruiting battle with Brisbane Roar for midfielder Luke DeVere.

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer thinks manager Harry Redknapp will find a replacement for summer signing Sandro in January.
The Brazilian only joined from Spurs in the last transfer window, in an 8m switch, but he has been dogged by injuries, the most recent a knee ligament problem.
Redknapp has revealed there is no cash available for permanent signings and his focus will be on loans during the January transfer window.
And Fer, who scored a wonder-goal in the 1-1 draw with Swansea on New Year's Day, believes Redknapp might already be looking to replace his marquee summer arrival.
"It's up to the gaffer," Fer said. "Us players try to do as best as possible and we have some injuries.
"Sandro is out so I don't know if he is going to being in a central-midfielder and maybe a winger."

A LOOK THROUGH THE A-LEAGUE TRANSFER WINDOW
PERTH GLORY
Position: First (29 points. Games 12 Wins 9 Losses 1 Draws 2)
Outlook: Seeking a replacement for Youssouf Hersi, who will miss the rest of the season because of a hamstring tear. Odds are on an international player to fill an attacking midfield role.
MELBOURNE VICTORY
Position: Second (25 points. Games 12 Wins 7 Losses 1 Draws 4)
Outlook: Content with their strong squad, Victory are unlikely to be involved in the market. Coach Kevin Muscat has the league's best attack, a talent-laden midfield and a sure defence - and he also has little salary cap space to make any meaningful moves.
WELLINGTON PHOENIX
Position: Third (25 points. Games 13 Wins 8 Losses 4 Draws 1)
Outlook: The Phoenix have built a quality squad gaining recognition for their stylish football. With no obvious weakness, expect the Phoenix to work with what they have got as they eye a finals campaign.

MALONE - After taking the oath of office Friday, former District Attorney and newly robed Family Court Judge Derek P. Champagne's first order of business was to swear in his replacement, Acting District Attorney Glenn MacNeill.
Long presumed the heir apparent to the position, MacNeill debated accepting it but ultimately decided to do so.
"When you're put in the position, the way this happened, you look at what your options are," MacNeill said. "You have to look at whatever options are out there.

"I am happy I accepted the position, and I am looking forward to hopefully doing some good things."
MacNeill said he doesn't have a specific agenda in place for the job as his recent efforts have been primarily devoted to preparing for the upcoming Angela Ball murder trial and the office's transition period. MacNeill has been working hard on the Saranac Lake case along with Assistant DA David Hayes, and he said the two will be ready to go to trial on Jan. 27.
"It takes a lot of work, and we're putting in that time to be ready," MacNeill said.
MacNeill is still debating if he will run for DA this fall. His term as acting DA will expire in January 2016, and he will have to win an election to continue to serve in the position.
"I wouldn't have taken the acting (DA) job if I wasn't serious about running," MacNeill said.
MacNeill is excited about the new position, and, after prosecuting cases for 15 years, he is ready to take on a larger role in the county.

An elderly Bell Township man is still without a permanent heating system because of a dispute with a furnace contractor.
William Galo, 81, bought a used furnace from a newspaper ad for $450 and had it delivered Nov. 25. The men who delivered the furnace offered to install it for an additional $500. Galo said the men said they would have to pick up some extra duct work and would come back to do the installation.
I paid him like a fool, Galo said.
Galo said he repeatedly called the contractor, Fredrick George of Uniontown, but never heard back.
George, who state police were planning to charge with theft by deception, came to Galo's Waukena Road home Friday afternoon.
George said the whole matter is a misunderstanding. George said his truck broke down, he lost his cellphone and his health was bad. He said he is a disabled Air Force veteran.
He wasn't getting ripped off, George said. I was planning to come the first of the year.
When George arrived Friday, he said he was ready to do the installation. Galo said he wanted nothing to do with George and wanted his $500 installation fee returned.
If that's what he wants, I can refund the $500, George said, adding he wouldn't have the money until Feb. 1 when he receives his disabled veteran check. He said this month's check was already spent on rent and he will forgo his rent next month in order to provide the refund.
George said he is considering filing for bankruptcy because of his financial trouble.
