UPDATE 1/20/15 @ 11:30 p.m. WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Wayne County students will be back in school Wednesday, following reported water pressure issues throughout the city.
City and school officials say Kenova Elementary has enough water pressure to have class.
This comes after parents flooded the school board with concerns of the school not having proper fire safety.
The Principal of ZZM Architects says the school portable has been cleared for classes, but the construction site for the new school has not.
The issues were brought up in a meeting last Thursday by Kenova Mayor Ric Griffith.
A presentation revealed major issues in the city's water system, including low pressure at the school that threatened the safety of students.
School board members and architects quickly responded, closing school Friday and Tuesday while they and city officials worked to fix the problem.
The architectural group met with the fire marshal on Tuesday to discuss the test results. They ruled that the lines provided adequate pressure for the sprinkler system.
"We are continuing with the testing and with the calculations to confirm that we will have enough pressure and flow for the new facility," said ZZM Principal David Ferguson.
Ferguson says they also have not decided whether or not a storage tank will be needed on the construction site to compensate for any amount of low pressure they may have.

Property crimes detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Silver Springs man in connection with burglaries at several church sheds.
Detectives picked up the suspect, Steven James Swanson, 42, on Sunday in the 8300 block of North U.S. 441, and the investigation carried over into Monday, according to the MCSO. In total, Swanson faces 12 charges, including burglary, grand theft, possession of burglary tools with the intent to use and dealing in stolen property.
Detectives said Swanson broke into at least five church sheds in various areas of Marion County, including Anthony, Citra, Orange Lake and McIntosh. They also are looking to see if he may be connected to at least four similar burglaries.
Swanson is wanted on two warrants from Levy County for church shed burglaries there.
Marion County sheriff's officials said Swanson told them he would sell the stolen items leaf blowers, riding and push lawnmowers, and weed trimmers to support his drug habit.
The burglaries began in December and continued through Sunday.
Deputies said Swanson burglarized Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 1663 SE 183rd Ave. Road in Silver Springs on Sunday. From there he went to the nearby Winn-Dixie and to a real estate company, where he entered a trailer and where detectives caught him.
According to the Sheriff's Office, he told detectives that he burglarized the church shed and admitted to going into several other sheds on church properties. Detectives recovered burglary tools and items taken from other churches.
Local court records show Swanson has a conviction from 2011 for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Senex Energy has shed 30 employees and will reduce capital expenditure by 20 per cent in the 2015 financial year, as part of cost-cutting in the wake of the plummeting oil price.
The redundancies, comprising about 15 per cent of the mid cap oil company's staff, were made on Tuesday with immediate effect, Senex managing director Ian Davies told investors on a conference call.
"It's regrettable that in times like this these things need to happen," Mr Davies said on the call, arranged to discuss Senex's response to the slump in oil prices and its December quarter results.
"We expect to ride the peaks and troughs of this market."

Mr Davies said Senex had reacted rapidly to the price plunge, putting in place hedging to protect cash flows through the rest of this financial year and making cost savings amounting to $6 million a year on an annualised basis.
Capex in 2014-15 will be reduced $85 million to $90 million, down from the original budget of $100 million-$120 million, with higher-risk exploration spending being delayed and the focus going on investment that enhances production. Just 16 wells will be drilled in the 2014-15 drilling program, down from 26. Production guidance for the full year of at least 1.4 million barrels of oil equivalent isn't affected.
Mr Davies had been flagging that Senex would tighten its belt in the wake of the plunge in global crude oil prices to their lowest level since April 2009. The price weakness has already caused larger rival Santos to slash $700 million from its capex budget for the 2015 financial year, while Woodside Petroleum also advised last week of cutbacks.
"We have a very large portfolio of growth projects with long-term tenure," Mr Davies said on Wednesday. In this environment, we must continue to show discipline in the prioritisation of these projects.
"The right sizing of our spending program, in combination with our recently implemented hedging program, will ensure we preserve our strong funding position and exit FY15 in a strong net cash position."
