Makhteshim Agan released the following press release on January 28, 2014 regarding their upcoming rebranding.

Brand implementation will be conducted on a global basis with staggered country-by-country launches. The full transition to the new brand is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

Over the course of the brand transition, the Company expects to reduce its numerous local brands and to establish a more simplified product portfolio. Over time, the move is expected to generate commercial and financial benefits.

As we take on this new shared brand, we also recognize the need to balance our global voice with the ability to tailor our operations and solutions to the requirements of farmers and partners in each local community. The formal launch of the new global brand is scheduled for early April 2014 at which time the Company will provide further details on the group's gradual adoption of the ADAMA name on a worldwide basis. The official name change of Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. to ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. is as of January 23, 2014.

Growers with stored grain are reminded to undertake regular pest monitoring during summer and autumn.
Department of Agriculture and Food grains biosecurity officer Jeff Russell said the saleability of grain or viable use at seeding could be quickly compromised if it became infested with insects.

"Not only can insect infestations cause damage to grain and loss of quality, but if not properly controlled they can also significantly damage our State's grain market access," Mr Russell said.
"Common stored grain pests can include saw-toothed grain beetle, lesser grain borer, flat grain beetle and the rust-red flour beetle.
"With harvest wrapped up, some growers may have already sold grain and are storing it on-farm until the delivery date. It is important to have a pest monitoring program and treatment plan in place to ensure the grain remains suitable for sale."
Mr Russell said a monitoring program should be in place as soon as the grain is stored in a silo.
"It is important when monitoring to use a sieve," he said. "While some pests are easily visible and climb right out of the grain, some will hide making them difficult to detect."
It is important to monitor stored grain regularly, at least once a month, and take samples from the top and bottom of the silo using a sieve with 2mm mesh and white tray. If the grain temperature is cool, the insects will be slow, shy and sluggish, so place the tray into sunlight for 10 to 20 seconds to warm up the insects and encourage movement.
