Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) June 19, 2012
Phoenix home remodeling company, Republic West Remodeling, announced it is half-way through a complex home remodeling project. The entire project is scheduled to last eight weeks with a budget exceeding $120,000.
Purchasing the home three months ago, the homeowner immediately began planning a complete upgrade. The new design needed to reflect the homeowners unique and artistic tastes. In addition, the home is being designed around ease of accessibility. New features include an outdoor patio and many addition upgrades to match homeowner tastes.
What makes this remodel unique is the willingness and effort to adjust the project at each phase, in many cases revising the design and changing what the customer would like on a step by step basis, said Jim Weisman, owner of Republic West Remodeling, a leading Phoenix home remodeling company. The ability to meet these demands and still control time and cost is extremely difficult to do, but necessary to make sure we deliver what our customer wants.
Ongoing communication with the homeowner has allowed us to stay within budget and schedule, continued Weisman. Although its been a challenge to plan ahead, our construction team remains on target as adjustments are made.
Because the design direction is not fully established, Republic West Remodeling must adjust the project scope on a regular basis. The home currently contains a large number of expensive furnishings. The company must protect and move these furnishings to accomplish project tasks. In addition, Republic West Remodeling coordinates with the homeowners fixture, furnishing, painting and media center vendors to ensure the project is delivered within schedule.

BLAIRSBURG - At its regular monthly meeting on June 14, the Northeast Hamilton school board appointed Randy Greenfield to serve the remainder of the director district 5 position vacated by Nate Palmer.
Greenfield will serve until the next regularly scheduled school board election in September 2013. According to board policy, former Vice President Kim Schaa will now serve as board president for the duration of Palmer's vacated term. Roxanne Anderson was elected board vice president.
In contractual business, the board approved contracts for Joan Gelder who will teach three kindergarten through eighth-grade art periods daily, John Seiser will serve as head boys basketball coach and Bret Schutt will serve as head girls basketball coach.
The board accepted the resignations of Kim Schimp as play co-director and co-assistant director, Mary Harreld as bus driver and Ashley Davis as play co-director and co-assistant director and co-prom sponsor.
Principal Patrick Hocking reported on the progress of partial day sharing with Webster City. An informational letter was sent home with 9-12 grade students concerning the student schedule and staff.
Hocking also reported that busses will leave NEH at 7:50 a.m. and students arriving after that time will have to be transported to Webster City by parents. Because of the bussing schedule, NEH will no longer schedule late starts for the beginning of the day, said Hocking. Instead, abbreviated days will include an early dismissal.
Hocking reported he will meet with Webster City personnel this week to discuss orientation and to establish snow day protocol.
The board approved the low bid from Sara Lee for bread and the low bid from Roberts Dairy for milk products.
United Coop was granted the firm low bid of $2.68 per gallon for gasohol and the firm low bid of $3.14 for diesel. Also bidding were Heartland, Star Energy and Doolittle Petroleum.
Star Energy was awarded the contract for the low bid of $1.00 per gallon for propane. Also bidding were Heartland and Innovative Ag Services.

James Rodriguez would be an excellent addition for Manchester United.
Should the Red Devils pick up the Porto sensation over the summer transfer window, they would add another world-class player to their already star-studded squad, as well as another excellent attacking option.
But they might just do it at the expense of Portuguese international and United legend Nani, who fears he's being frozen out of Old Trafforddespite dropping his asking price twice in order to renew a new contract with the club.
According to Mirror Football, the Red Devils see Rodriguez as a possible replacement for the winger should he depart from the club. They have reportedly been tracking the Colombian international for a while, and have even travelled to South America to watch the 20-year-old play.
Currently rated in the25 million range by his current club Porto, Rodriguez wouldn't come cheaply to Unitedalthough he has already indicated his enthusiasm and desire to play for the Red Devils.
For now, I keep thinking about Porto and about winning the Portuguese Liga title here. I am very happy here, but if you give me the option to go to United, I am not going to deny that I would like to play at a club like that. I can still give so much...
Rodriguez would no doubt be a strong player at Old Trafford given his versatility in midfield and attack, and at just 20, he would serve as a long-term signing for a club struggling with an aging midfield.
However, he must only be looked as a replacement for Nani should the winger move on over the summer transfer window.
The Portuguese star has admitted his current feeling of isolation from the team and management at United and would be open to a move should no deal be agreed upon between the two teams, but that is no reason why the Red Devils cannot secure his services for the next few seasons at the club.
What is becoming more apparent is the impact that Shinji Kagawa is going to have on Manchester United, who are now faced with the problem of having too much depth in their squad and being forced to leave world-class players on the bench.

Window Replacement | Comments Off on Manchester United Transfer News: Have United Found the New Nani?
The window of opportunity is open wide right now, and when the San Francisco 49ers and their fans look through it they see nothing but sunny skies and a bright future.
Thats what the world looks like to an NFL team in June, especially one thats coming off a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
In the recently concluded Niners mini-camp, optimism reigned. New wide receiver Randy Moss and cornerback addition Perrish Cox got rave reviews. Alex Boone looked strong as a replacement for Adam Snyder at right guard. Tight end Vernon Davis who came up so big in the playoffs picked up right where he left off. And head coach Jim Harbaugh was the perpetual prince of positivity even about first-round pick A.J. Jenkins, the wide receiver from Illinois who showed up out of shape and often appeared lost and ineffective on the field.
Hes right on track, Harbaugh told reporters last week. A.J. Jenkins is going to be just fine.
Yet while there is justifiable reason for optimism, there are reasons for caution as well, and defensive end Justin Smith has served an important notice. His message: the future is now.
The entire defense has returned, key players are healthy, the offense should be better after a year under Harbaughs system and with the addition of some playmakers, such as Moss, Mario Manningham, rookie running back LaMichael James and veteran running back Brandon Jacobs.
But Smith says the time for the 49ers to win it all is now, during this window of opportunity. In the NFL, such a window can close quickly because of age and injury.
With some of the guys we have, and with free agency and things like that, were not going to be able to keep this team forever together, Smith told the Sacramento Bees Matt Barrows. Even age-wise, you know? The whole team wont be the same.
Im kind of stressing, Lets go about this in a way that were kind of focused. Were not rebuilding. Lets do it this year and see what happens next year.
Smith, 32, the dominating physical presence up front for the Niners, knows that the bulk of his career is over. If he wants to win a ring, it will have to be quick.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimble (TRMB) introduced today the Trimble 773 Robotic Total Station with VISION technology as part of the Trimble Field Link for MEP and Trimble Field Link for Structures construction layout solutions. The new layout solutions allow general contractors, steel contractors, concrete contractors and mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) trades to easily interpret the measurement of surfaces and positions using live video for increased accuracy and productivity as it relates to the layout of field points.
The Trimble 773 Total Station with VISION Technology enables building construction contractors to remotely see and measure through a live video feed from the instrument on their Trimble Tablet within the Trimble Field Link software. By integrating 2D line-work, point symbols, point names, descriptions and/or point elevations with the live video in the field, contractors can easily locate and stake points as defined in the data file for the project.
"By adding VISION technology to our Trimble Field Link construction layout solutions, we further connect the design aspects of building construction to field based processes," said Pat Bohle, general manager of Trimble's Building Construction Division. "Overlaying 2D line-work and point data from Trimble Field Link job files onto live video from a Trimble total station is the next step in the evolution of our layout portfolio to help provide greater productivity and accuracy for the building construction contractor."

Want to buy a post office?
The Belmont Avenue U.S. Post Office building in Dallas Lower Greenville neighborhood is up for grabs.
Commercial property broker CBRE Group has been hired to sell the 3,592-square-foot building located just west of Greenville Avenue.
The U.S. Postal Service has talked about closing the location for several years. And as part of current cost cutting, they are checking out the market to see what they could get for the building which was constructed in the early 1990s.
They are motivated to said, said CBRE Groups Michael Meaden who is peddling the property along with Jeff Kittleson.
The brokers have gotten a lot of calls about the post office since the big green and white for sale sign went up.
With any centralized Dallas location for sale, you typically get a lot of activity, Meaden said.
And what a location. The Belmont post office is just yards from the new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market store under construction on Greenville. And its about three blocks from the location of the planned Trader Joes grocery store.
But before any buyer steps up to the closing table on this deal, the City of Dallas must make up its mind on the property.
The building and just under one acre of land it sits on are currently zoned commercial. But the city plan commission is considering a move to switch the zoning to townhouse construction.

A Pekin man was slightly injured in the early morning hours Saturday when he crashed into a concrete retaining wall while fleeing from Pekin police.
Pekin Police Sgt. Courtney Hutchison said that an on-duty officer patrolling downtown Pekin heard the engine of a vehicle roaring loudly at 12:40 a.m. and observed a red pickup truck speed away from a drive-thru window. The truck headed west toward the McNaughton Bridge, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.
When the driver, Michael D. Smith, 26, tried to turn south onto Illinois Route 24, he lost control and slammed into the retaining wall. Hutchison said Smith then ran south on Rt. 24 trying to evade arrest, but eventually put up his hands and stopped.
He was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he was treated for minor injuries, including a cut on the nose that required stitches. He was then taken to the Tazewell County Justice Center, where he paid $750 bond and was released Sunday afternoon.
Smith was charged with DUI, unlawful use of a weapon for having an AR-15 in the truck that he did not have a FOID card for, expired registration, no valid driver's license, aggravated fleeing and eluding police, no turn signal, failure to obey a traffic signal device, possession of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol.

HENAGAR Carpenters for Christ are helping make a new church building a reality for the congregation of Friendship Baptist Church.
Loretta Shankles, a 50-year member of the congregation, said the church created a building fund about 10 years ago, and things fell into place earlier than expected when Carpenters for Christ volunteered to help build the church.
We werent expecting it to happen this summer, Shankles said. A group of Carpenters for Christ from Piedmont framed and blocked in the church. There were almost 100 of them that conducted this mission. They did a tremendous amount of work. Some of the Carpenters for Christ said they want to come back when we get started on the sheetrock.
Shankles said the existing church building near Henagar was built in the 1930s and is supported by rock pillars. She said over time the pillars had become unstable and some of the Sunday School rooms had started to sag and pull away from the building.
The new building is being built just below the existing church. The church tore down its existing fellowship hall to build a larger church building. Shankles said the new building will be a little large for about 60 Sunday school children and a weekly service count of about 80-100 people.
Were not a big church, she said. The new one is big. Were building for the future. We know God can fill it up.
Shankles said she visited the church on Wednesday morning and windows were being put into the building. However she said there was still a lot left to do. She said electrical and plumbing had to be installed and next the church would be bricked. She said a nice addition to the church is a basement with rebar-reinforced concrete that could provide shelter from severe weather something the church escaped last April.
We were fortunate that we didnt have any damage from the tornadoes, Shankles said. I think some shingles may have been blow off, but that was it. God was good to us, and we werent damaged by the storm.
Shankles said she wasnt sure when the congregation would hold its first service in the new church which has been pastored by Darrell Sears since 1994.
We havent heard an exact date, she said. We still have a lot of work to do before we can get into it. Were hoping for the first of the year, but we dont know for sure.

The developer of the $34 million 16 Park housing project said it will begin rebuilding as soon as possible after a building was destroyed by fire Friday night.
The Indianapolis Housing Agency is developing 16 Park, an 11-building project that was set to open in October along 16th Street between Central and College avenues. The blaze engulfed a four-story, 28-unit apartment building due to open this fall. Four occupied buildings in the complex were not damaged.
IHA Executive Director Bud Myers and Bruce Baird, its director of strategic planning and development, watched the building burn.
It was heartbreaking, Baird said. We put our heart and soul into the redevelopment of Caravelle Commons, so it was discouraging.
Caravelle Commons was a 65-unit, low-income housing property built in 1975. The seven-acre property had become a magnet for crime, with dead-end streets and fenced-in apartment homes surrounding crowded parking lots. But the Indianapolis Housing Agency was betting the new project would jump-start interest in the area.
IHA will begin the process of rebuilding as soon as the Indianapolis Fire Department finishes its investigation and gives the agency control of the site, Baird said.
IFD Lt. Larry Tracy said Monday morning that the probe is ongoing; he was unsure how long it might last. IFD estimated damage to the building at $3.5 million.
The destroyed building was insured, Baird said.
Four of 16 Parks 11 buildings are complete and occupied. When finished, the entire project will consist of 155 housing units.
Baird said he has no idea when the project might be completed.
