PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operations of the ACE Group, today announced that it has expanded its International Advantage product to offer enhanced coverages for the unique risks faced by professional services employees doing business overseas. Three comprehensive foreign package offerings designed for accountants & lawyers, business consultants, and architects & engineers are designed to provide coverage for companies operating globally in the professional services arena.
According to The Business of Architecture Report, a survey conducted by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), international work -- defined as billings from outside the United States, for either international or U.S. clients, and as inside the United States for international clients -- has almost tripled over the last decade.1 ACE believes that this increase is the result of more contract work performed overseas, which can impact U.S.-based companies. This is because their employees traveling outside of the United States face unique risks not typically covered by their domestic companys insurance program.
Those risks include, but are not limited to:
The ACE USA International Advantage product is an ideal solution for insuring the risks of emerging- to middle-market professional services firms. The Advantage policy package offers a number of coverages needed by firms operating overseas, including general liability, contingent auto, voluntary workers compensation, kidnap & extortion, international AD&D (including medical), and executive assistance services.
ACEs newly-enhanced coverages for professional services firms bring the Advantage policy to another level. The enhancements focus on adding property coverage grants, (including coverage for architectural models and blueprints, law libraries, and other research materials, taken overseas), as well as any other specialized equipment used abroad by professional services firms. The new policy forms also add certain endorsements on a standard basis, and these include blanket additional insured, waiver of subrogation when required by contract, and providing a care, custody, and control extension to general liability.
The globalization of industry and commerce has resulted in more companies planting flags on foreign shores, and the number of professional services employees traveling to these locations on temporary work assignments or for more long-term employment has increased, said Tim Benson, Senior Vice President, ACE Multinational Client Group. In the architectural profession, for example, firms reported seven percent of total billings originating from international work, compared with just 2.8 percent ten years ago, and six percent in 2005. 2
These enhanced coverages, combined with the ability to coordinate the issuance of locally admitted policies across the entire ACE global network, allow ACE USA to offer an ideal insurance product -- for risks ranging from simple trip travel exposures -- to complex, multinational exposures faced by professional services firms.
Weve designed a program that makes coverage for overseas exposures more readily available to customers, while providing our brokers with an attractive, easy-to-use package, said Bryan Tedford, Senior Vice President, ACE USA Foreign Casualty. Our new ACE International Advantage Edge suite of products provides multinational customers with simplified, central control and consistent protection around the world.
ACEs international casualty product suite offers insurance solutions for U.S.-based companies and organizations that have operations or employees who travel outside the U.S. Offerings range from simple package policies to complex multinational programs with sophisticated risk transfer options. For more information about these products, including ACE Accountants & Lawyers International Advantage Edge, The ACE Business Consultants International Advantage Edge, and The ACE Architects & Engineers International Advantage Edge, please visit our website or contact Tim Benson at timothy.benson@acegroup.com or 302-476-6343.

As part of the extensive restoration of a B-17 undertaken by the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah, GA, California based Chroma Systems Solutions will contribute Modular DC Power Supplies that will provide DC power to the aircraft's radio room, turrets, flaps on the wings along with its landing lights and interior lighting. The Museum will demonstrate the use of this power supply by operating the B-17s chin turret on Tuesday morning.
The B-17 Flying Fortress City of Savannah (similar aircraft pictured in file photo)will be restored to its full combat configuration, including operational systems and components, with the goal of making it the finest static display B-17 in the world. said Henry Skipper, Museum President and CEO. Upon completion the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museums B-17 will be the only static display to include three movable turrets. In addition to being an important part of American history, the City of Savannah will be utilized in the Museums educational programs and in its mission to preserve the legacy of the courageous men and women who served in World War II.
We are excited at this opportunity to power the City of Savannah B-17 aircraft and contribute to its historical preservation. said Steve Grodt, Marketing Manager at Chroma Systems Solutions. Its an impressive project that had some special power requirements. Our 62000B DC Power Supplies were the perfect power source for a continuous power application like this.
The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum received the final part of the B-17 ... the fuselage ... on January 14, 2009. The plane was transported from a storage hanger at the National Air and Space Museum to its permanent home inside the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museums Combat Gallery. The Museum named its B-17 bomber City of Savannah in honor of one which left Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah and flew bombing missions over Germany in World War II. The City of Savannah will be restored to its wartime configuration. The bomber has remained on display inside the Museum during this restoration process.

Athens (dpa) - Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was to hold a meeting with the two junior partners of his coalition government Tuesday to discuss a suitable replacement for the countrys finance minister, just days after the cabinet was formed.
Vasilis Rapanos, the chairman of the National Bank of Greece, had been named finance minister last week following the creation of a coalition government, comprised of conservative New Democracy, socialist PASOK and the small Democratic Left party.
The veteran banker resigned for health reasons on Monday, three days after being rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains and dizziness.
The prime minister accepted Rapanos resignation hours after himself being discharged from another hospital following an operation to repair a detached retina over the weekend. Doctors have advised him to rest and not to travel to a European Union summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday.
As Rapanos had not yet been sworn in, outgoing Finance Minister Giorgos Zanias, a key negotiator for Greeces international bailout, still holds the post.
Zanias is to accompany President Karolos Papoulias to the EU leaders summit.
The unforeseen developments have forced inspectors from the European Union and International Monetary Fund (IMF) to postpone a visit to Athens which was scheduled for the start of the week.
Samaras government is looking to revise some of Greeces bailout conditions with its creditors, including the reversal of decisions to fire thousands of public sector workers and raise taxes. dpa cp hm Author: Christine Pirovolakis

OTTAWA The Defence Department might be on the verge of its most sweeping change in two decades, with the top four jobs possibly switching hands by the fall.
There is widespread speculation that Central Nova MP Peter MacKay will lose his job as defence minister in a federal cabinet shuffle expected next month.
Internal reports are that staff are already bracing for the move.
MacKay has had the job for almost five years, which is a long time in defence minister terms. If he holds on until late July, he will pass Art Eggleton as the longest-serving defence minister in Canadian history.
Eggleton served from 1997 to 2002 before Jean Chretien dumped him for handing an untendered contract to an ex-girlfriend. In contrast, MacKay is expected to move to another high-profile portfolio such as justice or foreign affairs.
MacKay is an avid champion of the Armed Forces but has had a stormy year. Much of it has been personal.
In the fall, internal emails contradicted his story that he was witnessing a demonstration when a search and rescue helicopter picked him up from a vacation at a fishing lodge.
But Prime Minister Stephen Harper takes great care to avoid the appearance of punishing his ministers, says Scott Taylor, a longtime military analyst and editor of Esprit de Corps magazine.
The controversy is probably whats keeping him in the post for the moment, Taylor said of MacKay.
Its kind of crazy, but they need to calm the waters enough to put him in a boat.

Is summer the best time to remodel? Well, according to remodeling expert Dan Fritschen, yes it is. Here are some reasons why and also some tips on how to get it done.
Summertime is when you might go away for the weekend to visit Grandma and perhaps take another weekend or a week to go to Disney. If you are remodeling, these are the best times for the workers to be in your house making a mess and getting the work done. The workers will have more space and you don't have to worry about staying out of their way -- plus when you come home, all or at least a good amount of the work will be done.
If you are remodeling the kitchen, summer is certainly a good time to do it. You can eat outdoors, and light meals, not requiring much if any cooking, are just the thing during the summer. Picnics are fun.
If you happen to be opening a wall because you are adding a room, or if you need to open a wall to add a window, summer is the perfect time because you don't have to worry about freezing-cold temperatures entering your humble abode. If painting is in order, summer is good because you can open windows to let the smell out and the fresh air in.
Nature gives great inspiration, and summer is a perfect time to go out and enjoy nature. Look at the colors and the color combinations in nature. Absorb what appeals to you and use it in your remodeling.
While you are out there soaking up the sun, consider getting your yard in order. Remodel, upgrade
Solar panels are suggested for installation on your house. They can save you money and power your home, and summertime is when you will benefit the most from the panels.
Well, there you have it. Don't be too lazy during the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. Get the house in order and the yard, too. You'll be glad you did.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns hold their first 2012 training camp practice on July 28 in Berea, and play their first exhibition game on Aug. 10 in Detroit against the Lions.
The Browns open their 60th NFL season -- that's not counting the All-America Football Conference (1946-49), but the 1950-95 seasons and from 1999 until the present -- on Sept. 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles at Browns Stadium.
The Plain Dealer and cleveland.com cover the Browns. Tom Reed writes that the Browns shouldn't be in a hurry to trade quarterback Colt McCoy, who as of now stands to be the backup to rookie Brandon Weeden.
Included on cleveland.com is the Browns history database, which features the Plain Dealer game stories for every regular season and playoff game in Browns history, from 1946 through 2010.
For the Browns to improve on their recent history -- a 4-12 record last season and a combined 18-46 over the last four campaigns -- they must get more production from a wide receiver group that has a rather thin NFL resume.
Fred Greetham writes for Scout.com's Orange and Brown Report that the Browns hope Greg Little, about to begin his second season, will emerge as a difference-making wideout:
Little, who just turned 23 on May 30, officially became a starter after the first four games of his rookie season. He responded with 61 receptions for 709 yards and two touchdowns, including a season long 76-yard score against the Cardinals in December. Little was second in the AFC among rookies only to the Bengals A.J. Green, who had 65 receptions.
Overall, Little ranked 17th in the AFC in receptions. His 709 yards was the fourth highest in Browns history among rookies. His reception totals were second best only to Kevin Johnsons 66 grabs in 1999. Little had six receptions in three games, with his high being 131 yards against the Cardinals.
Most Browns fans feel Little can be a fine NFL receiver, but not all outside the Browns front office consider him a sure-fire top tier receiver. However, Little has shed 11 pounds and the Browns are hoping one year of experience will help him to become one of the top receivers in the league.
The top five things that messed up the Browns' 2011 season, and where those matters stand now....and other observations. (By Steve Doerschuk, Canton Repository)

June 25, 2012 - Carolina League (CarL) Wilmington Blue Rocks Woodbridge, VA - The three newest Wilmington Blue Rocks (30-45, 1-4) played the hero role as Lane Adams, Matt Fields and Orlando Calixte drove in a combined six runs over the final two innings in a 7-3 win over the Potomac Nationals (34-41, 3-2) on Monday night. The Rocks did not have a hit entering the eighth, but rallied for their first road win since May 28. The win snapped a seven-game slide overall and a 10-game road skid, one short of the franchise record.
Big leaguer Cole Kimball tossed two hitless frames in a rehab start while Adam Olbrychowski followed with five frames of no-hit ball until the eighth. Potomac held a 2-0 lead at that time thanks to Kevin Keyes' second-inning homer.
Angel Franco singled sharply past the dive of Adrian Sanchez at second to spoil the no-hit bid. An out and a walk later, Potomac skipper Brian Rupp removed Obrychowski in favor of the league leader in strikeouts per nine innings, Rob Wort (1-3). The slider specialist issued a full-count walk to Cheslor Cuthbert to load the bases, retired Brett Eibner on an infield pop, and then saw the wheels come off.
Adams worked the count full before laying off a pitch down and away for a run-scoring walk. Fields followed and ripped a 3-2 pitch through the left-side hole for a two-run single and Wilmington's first lead of the night, 3-2.
That had starter Yordano Ventura in line for the win. In seven innings, he struck out seven and allowed just two runs on four hits. However, the lead would not last long. Potomac tied the game without a hit in the eighth. In his Carolina League debut, Matt Ridings walked Blake Kelso to start the inning. A sacrifice and a groundout got him over, while a wild pitch pushed him home for a 3-3 draw.
The rollercoaster ride still had another loop coming. Consecutive hits by Juan Graterol and Franco started the ninth and chased Wort. Rupp brought in sidearmer Neil Holland and two batters later, Calixte brought the wood. The shortstop prospect blasted his first home run as a Blue Rock to left field, a three-run job that put the rocks on top to stay, 6-3. Eibner later added window dressing with a well-hit RBI double. Ridings (1-0) closed it out with a scoreless ninth.
The four-game series continues at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday night. Right-hander Brooks Pounders (0-2, 5.25) will get the nod for Wilmington against southpaw Robbie Ray (3-3, 4.84). Broadcast coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. as studio host Rob Cunningham brings fans the Rocks Report Pre-game Show, presented by Wawa, on 89.7 WGLS-FM and online at wgls.rowan.edu.
PEBBLES OF KNOWLEDGE:
Wilmington nearly suffered its second nine-inning no-hitter in less than 40 days. On May 19, Nick Tepesch and Jimmy Reyes of Myrtle Beach combined on the feat at Frawley Stadium. Now in its 20th season, the Blue Rocks franchise had not endured a no-hitter on its history until that Saturday night.
This series marks the start of divisional foes only for Wilmington over a stretch of 13 straight and 17 of 20. The Rocks are 17-34 against Southern Division squads and 13-11 against their brothers in the North.

The final steel beam was installed at the top of 4 World Trade Center Monday morning. The office building, located at 150 Greenwich St., is the first completed of four new buildings at the World Trade Center site.
The 977-foot, 72-story tower will open in the fall of 2013, making it the sixth highest building in New York City. It will accommodate stores, offices, and the Port Authoritys new headquarters.

The buildings developer, Larry Silverstein, joined local officials and construction workers in signing and raising the last beam, which weighed a whopping eight tons and was covered with an American flag. Silverstein was quoted in Crains New York saying that the events goal was to give New Yorkers back the city terrorists tried to take away.
Senior associate construction manager for the building Malcolm Williams said the design is simple and elegant. The floor plan has a focus on efficiency and productivity, and the lobby is twice the size of 7 World Trade Center. The building is minimalist in style and trapezoidal in shape, with a reflective black granite surface.
Architect Fumihiko Maki says in a video on the buildings website, I feel very honored to participate in this exciting process of making something important for New York City.

Showing Off New Zoo Building -

A triumph for the "I'm Coming Back" recovery campaign in Minot took place today at the unveiling of the new entrance building for the Roosevelt Park Zoo.
Construction on the new entrance building was underway one year ago, before the Mouse River filled the new walls with more than six feet of flood water. The interior of the building was re-done, and today zoo staff --- and a few residents of the zoo - welcomed the first visitors to the new building. The entrance, gift shop, and a multi-purpose area will be housed in the new building and the staff are happy to once again be under the same roof in the new office space.
(David Merritt, Roosevelt Park Zoo Director) "There is still a fair amount of work that has to happen on the interior and exterior, but we've officially moved back onto the zoo property and if for no other reason, psychologically, that feels really good."
Zoo staff are located at the zoo now, but varied construction projects and hours mean that the building is not always accessible to the public. If you need anything from the zoo office please contact them at 857-4116.

The regional office of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank has sold a long-vacant, bank-owned Roseville office building at 400 Sunrise Ave., along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, just south of Douglas Boulevard.
The buyer, Mourier Land Investment Corp. in Roseville, paid $2.75 million.
Construction on the three-story building stopped 3 1/2 years ago. Despite the prolonged vacancy, eight offers were received when marketing began on May 2, according to Brian Barnes, the Cornish & Carey senior vice president who brokered the sale.
